She may be enjoying a rumored romance with Country Strong actor Garrett Hedlund but beneath her love-struck exterior, Kirsten Dunst has been facing disturbing times.
But the Marie Antoinette actress can today rest a little bit easier after winning a restraining order against a stalker. A judge has ordered a French man to stay away from the star, warning him not attempt to contact the blonde for at least the next three years.
Superior Court Judge Carol Boas Goodson issued the order against Jean Christophe Prudhon, of Dijon, France, after a hearing on Monday in Los Angeles. While the 29-year-old did not attend the proceedings she wrote in a sworn declaration that she is frightened of Prudhon after he recently tried to reach her at her mother’s home.
In letters filed with the court, Prudhon wrote that he sold his home in France, so he could travel to meet her even though she has not responded to more than 50 missives he has sent. The order against Prudhon also protects Dunst’s mother, Inez, an artist and former gallery owner.
Kirsten has remained close to her parent, who took her to her first acting gig for a cereal commercial, which later led to a contract with
Ford Modelling Agency. Recently she revealed she wants children of her own very soon and is desperate to settle down.
‘I thought when I reached 30 I’d have a lot more figured out,’ the star, who has previously dated musician Johnny Borrell and actor Jake Gyllenhaal, told Lucky Magazine. ‘Until you have a kid, you’re just looking for your partner. And guys have a Peter Pan vibe. They’re 35 and they act like they’re 25. ’That’s what scares me about being in my 30s – not finding someone to have kids with.’
