  1. Rafal says:

I’m wondering which way should I go, to get an acting career started, if I’m not resitend of United States yet… After booking the job, I’ll get some visa? I mean, people from outside of the States territories are doing it somehow…

  2. actorguru says:

Where are you from? You can start right where you are at.

  3. Rafał says:

Yeah, I wish I could… but industry in my country is a dead thing. I want to progress my craft, to improve myself but I know I can’t do it here. I wish to learn from the best and have possibility of taking up an acting challenges. That’s why I want to go to the States.

  4. actorguru says:

Moving to the closest major city with better acting opportunities may help but coming to the States is good as well.

  5. resti says:

My question is just the same with Rafal. Is there any possibility that the casting director would call someone who lives thousand miles away?

  6. actorguru says:

They will not call you if you are not located close by. Why? Because it is an inconvenience for them. There are many others actors they can choose from that are much closer.
