Don’t worry about being famous just yet. In fact, becoming a famous actor shouldn’t be your goal at all. Out of the nearly 100,000 or so actors in The Screen Actors Guild, less than ten percent are what you call “famous.”  Your primary goal should be to work consistently as a professional actor. Coming out to Hollywood just to be famous is unrealistic. I know it’s hard to swallow but I’m telling you for your own good.

You have to have an attitude that this is something you want to do for the rest of your life–professionally. Just because you’re famous doesn’t mean that you will continue to make a living and work consistently in this business. There are many famous, “washed up” celebrities. Don’t be one of them. In fact, if you really love the craft of acting, you’ll be more concerned about working on your craft consistently anyway, right? Right. Don’t worry, the fame and the fortune will come if you’re not looking for it. Just love what you do.
