Why You Should Be on IMDB.com

The Internet Movie Database (IMDb.com) is the largest online database of information related to movies, actors, television shows, production crew personnel, and video games.

IMDB allows you to upload your photos and resume free of charge and gives you maximum exposure to IMDb’s 57 million visitors, including key industry decision-makers.  Once you get up and running at IMDB you can use your photo and resume page to show people who you are and what you’ve done as an actor.  This is great, because if you don’t have a personal website, you can utilize your IMDB page to market yourself.  Show your friends, family, agents, casting directors, etc.  Name your favorite actor and they’re listed on IMDB.  In fact, every professional actor are listed on IMDB.  So why not yourself as well?  Go for it.

Don’t be embarrased if you don’t have a lot of acting credits, just upload what you’ve done.  Whatever you do, don’t lie or make up things you haven’t done.  Always be truthful.  This is a close knit business so an industry person will be able to easily tell if you’re lying on your resume–even if they’re little white ones.  Don’t worry, as you start to get more work as an actor, your credit will most likely be added to your online resume page automatically.

Be sure to sign up to IMDB.com as soon as you can!
